Fashion Show Clothing and Side Two Media Homecoming Party!

Hey hippies,

On September 29th, Box Elder's Homecoming, we are having a show with 4 other AMAZING
artists. Riesel, Cheers to November, Burying Ann Hewitt, and Hermione are all playing in one night! There will be free music, food, and Allah says that you will be richly blessed if you come!

In other news, the band is getting better equipment! We are getting a new monitor for our singer, a new main speaker, a bass cabinet, and a bass pedal for our lil' guy bassist, caleb!

We are also ordering t-shirts from an awesome guy, Byron, so come and buy some t-shirts while they last! We will also be giving 3 sharpie-shirts away during the show, so be sure to throw some punches and make it interesting!

Thanks for everything,

-Dylan,

Once again, another post about... THE BAND!

We have had a few setbacks, including losing our bassist, getting him back, girl troubles with our singer, and a few fights, but we are back at it and we are scheduling a show with a band from Ogden called Hermione! We are hoping to play the show within the next 2 months so look for it!

Warped Tour 2007

After rushing out of the baby blessing, we drove like crazy to the Salt Lake Fair Grounds. After waiting in line for over an hour we finally got in. We ran like crazy and managed to see the last few seconds of Anberlin, and then we ran to see The Briggs. After seeing them we went to our favorite bands merch tent and bought some t shirts, and talked to the lead singer, Jack, for about 20 minutes. We found out that they snuck onto Warped Tour last year by pretending to be another band, and selling their cd's in place of the other band's cd's, and even going so far as to advertise their playing time with sidewalk chalk and by walking around and talking to people.

Then we saw an acoustic session of All Time Low, which made up for us missing their main appearance. Then we watched Coheed and Cambria, which was awesome. At this point, I was crowd surfed 3 times in one song. By the end of their first song I was right up next to the stage which was pretty nifty. After Coheed and Cambria played, Chiodos played. The mosh pits in Chiodos were crazy.

After Chiodos played, we watched Karate High School, a hardcore/techno/electronica group. They are really good live, and while I was moshing in that pit, I got hit in the face (i still have the fat lip) and was bleeding all over, but was completely oblivious to this because it took one of my friends saying "Dude, your bleeding!" and then pointing at my lip for me to make the connection. After I stopped bleeding, I was back in the pit for my favorite song of Karate High School's.

After Karate High School we went to Paramore, and my best friend managed to butterfly kick a kid backward about 10 feet (not joking). Ask him about it sometime, he loves to tell the story.
After moshing for a little bit, we decided to see if there were any other good bands playing. At this point, we found a band we liked but was pretty small. They were called the Hanks and were way cool. The lead singer was doing a song, and in the process me and my friends started a 4 person mosh pit which grew to be about the size of the crowd. When the singer saw this, he said to us "Well that was unexpected!" and continued their set.

After The Hanks, Pennywise started playing. At Pennywise the mosh pits were crazy. Me and my friends were sweating like crazy after every song. At the last song, Bro Hymn, the biggest cirlce pit i've ever seen started up. It was seriously at least 30 ft. wide. After Pennywise, Bad Religion played, and yet another circle pit started. After a few songs of Bad Religion, we left and watched Nothington, easily the smallest band on the tour, but they were also, in my opinion, one of the best acts I had seen all day. We started another 4 person mosh pit, but it died out because Bad Religion ended and a swarm of people started walking away. After Nothington played their set, we walked over to their merch tent and we got talking to their singer and found out that their bassist and my best friend both grew up in Savannah, Georgia. After buying a T Shirt, we left and ate McDonald's.

On the way home, we got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. So, to pass time, we decided to start waving at people. It started when I waved at the car behind us and they didn't wave back. This made me all the more determined to get them to wave. After they wouldn't wave I did a little experiment to see just how many people would wave at me. I began sticking my head out the window and waving at people. After a while, both of my friends, as well as the driver, started waving at people in the stand still traffic. After asking the car next to us if they were coming back from Warped Tour, and them replying Yes, we decided to show them All Time Low. We blasted our favorite song and began singing out the windows at the top of our lungs. This got us smiles, laughs, dirty looks from old people, and even a few Birdies ;-). After it was all said and done, and the results were counted, we finished off with only 32 people waving at us, 3 people giving us the Rock On gesture, 2 flashing the peace sign, and 5 people flipping us off.

After it all, i've decided Warped Tour rocks, and although this wasn't my first time, it was easily the most fun.

I felt left out, Ok?

What with all this blogging action goin down, I figured "Hey, my company needs a way to tell everyone when the gigs is goin' down, so why not tap in on these resources?" And that's when all shame left me and I decided to do a blog.

Although Yuri beat me to it (I cried a little), the true winner will emerge only after the Berries and Cream contest has seen it's end.

Don't leave me hangin'!
